Transfer of Property Under a Will Through Probate

- Send notice of death to all interested parties, including creditors
- Prepare and submit an accounting of the assets of the estate
- Satisfy all final debts of the estate, including filing final estate or inheritance tax returns.
- Oversee the orderly distribution of the assets of the estate in accordance with the terms of the will or Minnesota statute if the decedent did not possess a valid will
If there are minor children who are subject to a guardianship, we will take the measures necessary to put the guardianship in place.
We can also assist in matters of probate litigation, representing either executors and administrators or individual family members in will contests or challenges.
Execution of a Power of Attorney or Conservatorship
If you have a family member who is unable to manage his or her own affairs, we can help you put a power of attorney in place, allowing you or another person to make decisions for the disabled person. We can also work with you to set up a conservatorship to protect the assets of a disabled or incapacitated family member.
