Patrick J. McGuigan has practiced law for over 30 years and has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating possible for both legal abilities and ethical standards. Prior to joining Kelly & Lemmons, P.A., he was an owner of a St. Paul firm founded by his family members in 1943. Pat received his Juris Doctor Degree from Hamline University School of Law cum laude, where he was a member of the Silver Gavel Honor Society. Pat is an experienced transactional attorney with substantial experience in commercial loan documentation, foreclosures, real estate, general business and corporate law, with an emphasis in probate and estate administration and estate planning. Pat has been active in bar-related activities including Six years as the Chairman of the Second Judicial Ethics Committee and as Co-Convener of the Ramsey County Probate and Trust Section. From l998 until 2001, Pat also served on the Board of Directors of the Ramsey County Bar Association. Pat was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to the Minnesota State Board of Professional Responsibility where he served as a panel chair from 200l through 2007. Since 1987, Pat has been a member of the St. Paul Sunrise Rotary Club and the Midway Chamber of Commerce. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association - Probate and Trust and Real Property Sections and the Minnesota State Bar Association Probate and Trust and Real Estate Sections as well.
